Our most popular aerial tour of the rainforest is “THE FLIGHT OF THE TOUCAN.” The Chestnut-mandibled toucan (Ramphastos swainsonii) leaps off a branch, angles downward to gather air speed, sails through the forest, then swoops up near the end in order to reduce his velocity for landing.
This is what you will do on the FLIGHT OF THE TOUCAN. It is the perfect mix of adventure and ecology, an exciting way to experience the rainforest with top naturalist guides. Zip from ridge top to ridge top on cables specially designed to show you the delights of tropical nature. See enormous trees, view rainforest creeks from 25 meters (80 feet) in the air, and enjoy the breath-taking view from a platform built in a massive rainforest tree. All this is yours when you do the FLIGHT OF THE TOUCAN.
Daily at 8:00 AM, 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM -- $35 per person.
In the TREE CLIMBING TOUR you climb ropes that have been solidly fixed in the upper branches of an enormous rainforest tree. This is done with special equipment and an experienced guide who will accompany you at all times.
Monday through Saturday at 8:00 AM, 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM -- $35 per person.
The CANOPY OBSERVATION PLATFORM is located in the top of a rainforest tree at 110 feet above the ground in the layer which we refer to as the upper canopy. You don’t have to do any work on this one as we hoist you up with a winch using special harness and ropes.
Monday through Saturday at 8:00 AM, 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM -- $35 per person.
