Certificates for Costa Rica tourism businesses committed to sustainability
80 hotels, 17 tour operators and car rental vehicle four companies received this year´s Certification for Sustainable Tourism as a reliable sample of explicit commitment to sustainable management of their business, through concrete actions such as proper waste management, rational use of resources, environmental protection, respect for local culture and contribution to communities.

Costa Rica this week celebrates its first Medical Tourism Fair
Costa Rica. At the end of this week, 7 and 8 October, will be held in this nation´s first Medical Tourism Fair, EXPOMAR 2011, whose main aim is to promote an activity that only in 2010 attracted some 36,000 visitors and provided to the local economy $ 295 million, officials said.
